RIZAL IN RIZAL Almost every province in the Philippines has its Rizal statue. This one is located in Pililia, Rizal, a province east of Metro Manila and named after the national hero (of course!). The typical Rizal statue shows him standing erect on his feet, a book in hand and a serious look. This one though shows him in full 19th-century winter and formal attire in a classic Napoleonic pose.
