NORTH TRIANGLE, Quezon City — Estrelieta Bagasbas, or Ka Inday as she is fondly called by colleagues, is a victim of land grabbing in South Cotabato, south of Philippines. She and her family had thus been forced to migrate to Manila. But like in South Cotabato, she is now facing threat of being displaced yet again, away from what have been second home, far from her source of livelihood and social services.
“Demolisyon” is a video-documentary on the struggle of Sitio San Roque residents against demolition and the gloomy future awaiting them in proposed relocation sites. It is the day-to-day life-scenario, too, of thousands of families in other urban poor communities all over the Philippines. ![]()
