Hinahanap kita

Published on August 30, 2011

Ni RON MAGBUHOS

Hinahanap ko
sa mga dahong
nananalamin sa araw
ang iyong larawan,
sa tangang mga piraso nito’y
pilit na inaaninag
ang bawat kahulugan
ng iyong pakikipag-diinang
kamay sa Masa,
bawat talakayan, bawat martsa,
hinahabing paunti-unti
sa pag-asang ito ay magtuturo
ng iyong kinaroroonan.

Inilalarawan tila ng mga ugat
ng punong ito ang iyong salita,
sa bawat likaw nito’y inaarok
ang lalim ng iyong ipinaglaban,
ang bawat adhikain
at kung ano ang pamamaraan,
sapagkat totoo ngang
naka-ugat ka sa Masa;
wala kang pangamba
sapagkat ang iyong
piniling landas ay tumpak,
habang tinutuklas ko
ang paroon at parito ng pag-asam
sa ating muling pagkikita.

Napapagod din ako
nangungulila, naninimdim,
kaya nga at patuloy akong sumasandig
sa punong ito na simbolo
ng iyong katuwiran,
habang namamahinga
sa sangit at lamig
inilapat ko ang aking likod
sa bag-as mong katawan
at bumalik sa aking isipan
ang iyong katatagan;
sa banta ng kaaway,
sa bingit ng panganib,
sa panahon ng pagbabagong anyo
ng unos at peste,
tumawid kang matuwid
sa tatag mo kami ay sumandig.

Sa pagtingala ko sa langit
dumapo sa aking labi
ang iyong ngiti,
namumulaklak na pala
ang punong ito
kaya pala kay presko
ng kanyang lilim;
sa kinabukasan ay
magsisimula na itong mamunga
tulad ng iyong sakripisyo
na iyong ipinunla
sa pagmamahal sa kapuwa
lalu na sa kauri.

Ah, ako ay paroroon
upang hanapin
ang iyong salita at gawa
kasama ko ang iyong anak,
magulang, kapatid, kaibigan,
na unti-unti ng namumulat;
ngayon ay alam na naming
ikaw ay hindi lumisan,
nariyan ka lamang
sa bawat puno,
halaman, hayop, bulaklak,
tubig, lupa, hangin,
bukdok at parang,
sa bawat masa
na naghahangad ng pag-laya.
Ito ang bunga
ng iyong mga ipinunla.
