CONDOLENCE
It pains me so much to know the passing away of Alexander Martin Remollino, whom I know personally to be a principled young man up to his last breath.
Men like Alex do not really disappear forever. They are still in the hearts and minds of those whom they have left and associated with. Through the might of his pen and the fiery words that flowed from it, he devoted his entire life serving the Filipino people. And without an iota of malice in his heart, he also fought for the right of self-determination of the indigenous people and the Bangsamoro people.
Alex was a journalist, poet and activist, all packed into one. Gifted as such, he also wrote in flawless English with ease that made him clearly towering over others of his age and time.
Our utmost sympathy to his loved ones, relatives, friends, and comrades during this hour of trial. You are not alone — we are with you during this very difficult moment.
