Most, if not all. winning candidates for local positions have been declared by the Comelec. The same is true for senators. The unofficial tabulation of election results for president and vice president has practically crowned Sen. Noynoy Aquino as the next chief executive.
However, there is not much news about the developments in the party-list elections. The canvassing of votes for party-list groups seems to take a much slower pace. Is it because the Comelec sees no urgency or importance in it? is it because the elections for local positions and senators, president and vice president are generating much more public attention? Let us just hope that the Comelec is not cooking up something as it approved posthaste the accreditation of a lot of party-list groups associated with the Arroyo administration.
