		<description>Tita Cory was well intentioned and should be remembered in history as a person who tried, sadly unsuccessfully, to advance the wellbeing of her people. I have had the chance to witness the changes she brought to the Philippines as I was there during the Marcos Years and after.I still maintain a keen interest in the country. 
I hope that her memory and her idealism will fire up another Filipino to rise above personal ambition and greed, so much a pattern of Filipino politics, and lead the Filipino people to their rightful place in the world.
